What began as a mission to save animals
Ended up transforming an entire community
K9 Enzo is a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department dog who was seriously injured after being stabbed by a suspect during a barricade situation on March 29. He was quickly transported to a local animal hospital, stabilized, and underwent surgery. He has since been recovering, including receiving low-impact training, and is now back home.

A Tragedy That
Sparked a Movement
In the heat of a Las Vegas summer in 2024, a bulldog named Reba was left for dead inside a sealed container; an unspeakable act of cruelty that shook our community to its core. Her death was not only tragic; it was preventable. Out of this heartbreak rose a spark: the fight for Reba’s Law (AB381). Named in her honor, the bill aimed to finally enforce meaningful consequences for those who abuse or abandon animals.

Reba's Bill
Becomes Reba's Law
Reba’s Law was signed into law in July 2025, making animal cruelty a felony in Nevada, raising the puishment to a prison sentence of up to 6 years. Our mission didn’t end with the bill’s death. It intensified. Reba’s story has become a rallying cry, and her legacy will continue to fuel our fight. We will not forget. And we will not stop until every animal in Nevada is protected by the laws they deserve.

Animal Abuse Registry
is Launched
Despite our elected leaders refusing to help the innocent and abused animals in our state, Nevada Animal Advocates launches the first of it's kind statewide animal abuse registry. It went live in July 2025 and lists all persons in Nevada convicted of animal related offenses. It also lists elected officials and businessnes who have opposed legislation to protect our animals.
